Remarks: The L201 Orinoco snowball angel pleco is a very beautiful, small, and popular species of Hypancistrus from the Rio Orinoco. Their black bodies covered in white spots stand out in just about any aquarium, but looks best when kept in a tank with a dark background. Captive bred specimens are fairly hardy but they still require soft, acidic water to remain at peak health. Being mostly carnivorous, these little plecos also require a meaty diet but appreciate the occasional vegetable or spirulina pellet to round out their diet. As the L201 Orinoco snowball angel pleco is a fairly small and docile species with an eye-catching pattern, they can be a great addition to a smaller, peaceful, South American community tank.
