Needed to replace the gang valves on my tank since the previous unit was frustrating the crap outta me: one valve would be pumping air into one side of the filter system, but another valve open all the way would not be doing anything. If I closed one valve, then none would work and so on. It was just very old and the outputs were worn out. I got this item cause it is EXACTLY the same as the previous one, and I knew it would work for what I needed (air pump in, 2 filters for the undergravel system and a bubbler decor, plus 1 line out) and yep, works great. **Remember you have to finangle and adjust precisely to get the desired air flow to each item in the tank. It is a science of sorts and it takes patience and a bit of tweaking at each output valve. Also, in the words of Otis Redding, try a little tenderness. Too much force pulling the air hoses off can break the plastic pins and the valves only open and close so far. The last thing anyone wants is a broken and leaky valve.
