Remarks: Pseudotropheus polit can be rather aggressive for their small size. It is best to keep them with other aggressive mbuna with plenty of rocks and crevices to seek refuge in. The fish is dark-olive in color but dominant males will turn bright blue to white. The image is of a male who is beginning to gain his full coloration - much lighter in color than the females surrounding him!
