For the money the brightness, programmability, and color is a huge value.First of all and most importantly the color of these is excellent, the CRI on these I would say is very good, I’m gauging this by eye I’ve seen enough to make a fairly good assessment. Colors look correct they aren’t dull nor do they unnaturally pop. If you cast it on a white wall the wall remains white (a good test for how white the light is).The light have a factory and custom 24/7 mode or on and off programmable mode, which makes the light very customizable and the 24/7 is pretty smooth.Pro: If you get multiple lights they all stay programmed together, making adjusting all your tanks easy.Con: If you get multiple lights they stay programmed together making individual tank adjustments not possible if the lights are next to each other. You can do it if they’re let’s say 25feet or so away but each needs its own remote and you can’t bring one remote near the other light or it will switch to its programming.To answer the question for the planted tank enthusiasts.Tank depth(front to back) 12”Low to medium/high light- 1 lightHigh to ultra high light-2 lightsTank depth 18”Low-1 lightMedium to medium/high light- 2 lightsHigh to ultra high light-3 lightsIf I had to put this light in a competition I would put it against higher end lights and upper mid range lights not lower end value lights even at its price point.If you’re on the wall, get it.
