Remarks: The Blue Panaque (L239, Baryancistrus beggini) is a primarily herbivorous Loricariid from the Orinoco river in Colombia. They are small, rather stubby plecos with a stunning navy blue body and fins that shine when the lights hits them. Like most plecos, they appreciate having pieces of driftwood to hide under during the day before coming out at night to forage for food. Males will grow elongated whiskers, called odontodes.
