Remarks: Males have blue faces with pale-green bodies. Females remain gray with stripes. Placidochromis sp. Jalo Reef occur near Nkhotakota on the western shore of Lake Malawi. In the wild, they feed opportunistically on morsels that are stirred up by sand-sifting cichlids.
