Remarks: Ornate Bushfish (Microctenopoma ansorgii) are a small anabantoid from the Congo. They have elaborate red and black striped bodies and fins and a cichlid-like appearance, making them perfect for peaceful community tanks that need a centerpiece. They prefer slow-moving water with plenty of cover in the form of driftwood and plant matter. We recommend keeping them in a group of 3-6 so you can ensure you have at least one male colored up at all times.
