Description

Remarks: Neon Blue Rasboras (Sundadanio goblinus) are micro-rasboras from Indonesia and are truly spectacular under the right conditions. These fish are a shimmering blue-green in color with a dark blue but somewhat clear belly and face. They rarely exceed 0.5" long and should be kept in a well-planted tank with dim lighting to maximize their coloration and schooling behavior. Because of their small size, it is best to keep a school of 6 or more in a tank, but if the tank is bigger than 10 gallons, we recommend at least 15 fish. At less than half an inch long, if you were to group all 15 fish into a small ball, it would be no larger an 2" in diameter. Add in the fact that their little bodies cannot produce much waste, and you will realize that more is always better and you will rarely risk overcrowding them.

These fish are extremely delicate and should not be handled roughly. When acclimating these fish, we strongly encourage you to produce a slow drip system and gradually bring their water up to similar conditions as your tank. This also applies when moving them from tank to tank in your home, performing regular maintenance in the tank, or catching them.

Due to their sensitive nature, we will strictly enforce our DOA policy requiring photos of the unopened bag in order to receive credit for losses due to shipping. Opening the bags ends the arrival period and they will be considered in your care at that time.
